Details Emerge on Kings Island Roller Coaster Accident: Man in Hospital


On June 20, 2024, a 38-year-old man was hospitalized after being struck by Kings Island’s Banshee roller coaster in Mason, Ohio. The incident happened when the man entered a restricted area near the ride, resulting in critical injuries. Emergency services responded quickly, transporting him first to the University of Cincinnati West Chester and then to UC Medical Center. 

The Banshee, a high-speed ride reaching 68 miles per hour, remains closed as investigations proceed. Kings Island officials have stressed their commitment to safety and are cooperating with local authorities. Public reactions emphasize the need for strict safety measures at amusement parks.
